University led Lebanon early and then late - really late.

The Trailblazers outscored the Tigers by nine in double overtime to secure a 58-49 road win on Saturday.

Lindsey Syrek led the Trailblazers with a game-high 19 points and 17 rebounds, and Brooke Andrus scored 18, including hitting two free throws in the closing seconds of regulation to tie the game at 41 and send it to overtime.

Both teams scored four points in the first OT, before the Trailblazers used an 11-0 run in the second extra period to outscore the Tigers 13-4.

Natalie Nickless, who finished with 14 points for University, converted all six of her free throw attempts in the second overtime. Syrek came within one blocked shot of a triple double, and Andrus finished with six assists.

Madison Wirey and Tori Harker scored 15 points each to lead the Tigers in scoring.

Two Trailblazers’ starters did not dress for the game. University improves to 14-3 on the season.
