Thursday evening, the University High School Trailblazers girls' basketball team completely shut down their opponent, Anderson Prep Academy, to improve to 2-5.

Following a 40-3 lead at halftime, the Trailblazers shutout their opponent in the third quarter, 22-0. They went on to allow four point in the fourth to win 74-7.

In a game where they scored above their season average in every category, they were led offensively and defensively by the sister-duo of junior Cyan and sophomore Honor Cosyby. Honor led the team with 24 points while Cyan scored 10. Both earned double-doubles on the evening by contributing defensively with 11 steals coming from Honor and 10 from Cyan.

Cyan also leads the team in average scoring this season with 7.4 points per game.

Senior Reilly Small also showed off her range by going 2-for-3 from behind the arc.

It was a great team performance as they shared the ball well with 17 assists collectively.

The Trailblazers needed this win as they were coming off of a two-game losing streak following a 55-37 loss Monday to Bethesda Christian at home.

The Trailblazers hope to take this big win into their next game as they face Indiana School for the Deaf at home on Dec. 18.
