INDIANAPOLIS - The University Trailblazers won their third straight to finish the regular season on a positive note, defeating Irvington Prep Academy 74-49.

Reaching 70-plus points for an eighth time this year, the Class A Trailblazers haven't lost since Feb. 17 against 2A Heritage Christian.

Before winning out, University dropped three in row after winning six consecutive. Their season-high for points scored in a single game this year is 99, which they tallied on Jan. 31 against Anderson Prep Academy.

The Trailblazers had three players reach double figures in their regular-season finale with Connor Holly's 19 points leading the way.

Holly was 50 percent from the field, shooting 7 of 14 while converting a flawless 3-for-3 from the free-throw line. He recorded a double-double with a team-high 10 rebounds.

Mikhail Liston had 15 points followed by Tyler Diehl with 13 points and two rebounds.

Diehl went 5 of 10 and was 2-for-5 from 3-point range. Jacob Daniels hauled in eight rebounds and chipped in four points.

University opened the game leading 17-13 after the first quarter before ballooning their advantage to 34-20 by halftime. They took off in the second half, posting an 18-point third and a 22-point final frame to win.

Irvington scored 16 in the third and 13 in the game's final eight minutes.

The Trailblazers were 6 of 13 from long range with Holly hitting 2 of 4 from beyond the arc.

Ajay Wooden had five rebounds and four points for University. Jacob Tanner was 3-for-3 from the field with seven points, and Jazen Cosby finished with five points and two rebounds.

The Trailblazers (15-9) open Sectional 58 on Wednesday at Bethesda Christian against Indiana Math & Science (4-19) at 7:30 p.m.

University is seeking its third sectional title in four years and fourth in school history. The team won its first sectional title in 2006 and repeated in 2012 and 2013.
