MUNCIE - The Class A University Trailblazers' offense ignited in the third quarter for 25 points, and the boys' team cruised to its third consecutive victory after defeating Muncie Burris 76-56 on Friday night.

Led by Conner Holly and Tyler Diehl, who each finished with a team-high 21 points, the Trailblazers led 34-30 at halftime and then outscored the Owls 25-12 in the third frame to run away for good.

The team's 76-point performance was its third-highest output of the season behind an 84-32 win against Baptist Academy on Dec. 5 and a 78-70 win versus Indianapolis Lutheran on Dec. 11.

Diehl shot 7 of 10 from the field and was 6 of 8 from the free-throw line to help push his team to 4-2 on the year.

Holly shot 7 of 14 from the floor, converted 5 of 9 free throws and was a perfect 2-for-2 from 3-point range. He paced the offense with eight assists.

Jacob Daniels finished with 12 points, five assists and a team-high seven rebounds. Zach Duncan chipped in eight points and five rebounds. Christian Grubaums had six points.

The Trailblazers' defense netted 10 steals with Holly and Diehl both recording three each.

University returns to the floor on Tuesday against Seton Catholic at Bankers Life Fieldhouse for a 2:30 p.m. tip. The Class A Cardinals are 6-2 on the season and are coming off a loss to 2A Northeastern after rattling off six straight wins.
