Thursday’s win over Living Water will be a night Natalie Nickless remembers.

The lone senior on the University Lady Trailblazers, Nickless finished with a game-high 19 points to help University cruise to a 66-38 victory.

Nickless shot 7-of-14 from the floor and had 11 points in the first two quarters. University held a commanding 33-14 lead at the halftime and was never challenged in the second half.

Nickless connected on five of the Trailblazers six 3-pointers, as she hit at least one shot from behind the arc in every quarter.

Sophomore Lindsey Syrek helped her running mate break the Trailblazers four-game losing streak by chipping in 15 points on 6-of-14 shooting. Syrek scored eight of her total in the third quarter.

Jhordan McGuire finished with eight points for University. Lilly Snyder, Lucy Snyder and Haley Tomlinson each added six. Brooke Andrus finished with five.

University end its regular season at 15-7 and will now turn its attention to sectional opponent Indianapolis Metropolitan. The Trailblazers and the Pumas are scheduled for a first-round matchup Jan. 30.
