The Hamilton Southeastern Track & Field teams opened their seasons at the Blue and White Relays Indoor at Anderson University on Saturday.

The Lady Royals won eight of the 11 events on the night in the meet where no score was kept. Individual winners were seniors Camille Christopher in the 60 and Mia Mackenzie in the 60 hurdles, juniors Tayah Irvin in the high jump, Tierra Sydnor in the long jump and Kennedy Drish in the pole vault.

Three relay teams were also victorious: the 4x200 of Sydnor, Mackenzie, Olivia Burgess and Christopher; the 4x400 team of Sydnor, Mya Hammons, Emonie Miles and Kinsey Ewing; and the distance medley relay group of Ellie Pedersen, Annice McFarland, Maddie Mirro and Lulu Black.

The Lady Royals face the teams of the Hoosier Crossroads Conference indoors on Saturday at Wabash.

On the boys side, Chase Maxey opened with a long jump of 22' 5". The 4x200 relay held a time of 1:33.61, the 4x400 team placed second and the distance medley relay finished in third.

Maxey also set a best time in the 60 meter dash.
