INDIANAPOLIS - The Hamilton Southeastern Royals girls' basketball team fell just short against Class 4A No. 10 Pike 60-58 on Tuesday night.

After going up 32-26 at halftime, a slow third quarter by the 14th-ranked 4A Royals opened the door for Pike, which went on to take the lead and eventually win the game.

Bre Lloyd led the Royals with 23 points off of 7 of 13 shooting, which included two made 3-pointers. Lloyd also led the team with five assists.

Madi Taylor paced the team with six rebounds - all of which came defensively. Taylor also shot the ball exceptionally well, going 3-for-4 from the floor while adding five free throws.

The Royals are now 15-5 on the season and hope to bounce back on the road at No. 5 Noblesville on Saturday.
