In recent weeks, Sheridan head football coach Larry "Bud" Wright and his family were central figures in a special NFL Films video production.

On Friday, the completed film was selected as one of three finalists for the NFL's "Together We Make Football" contest in the group/team category.

Wright, the winningest high school football coach in Indiana, appeared on NBC's "Today Show" with his son, Kent, and daughter Cheri, for last week's announcement.

Among the other finalists are the Boron Bobcats of Boron, Calif., and Team Felicia of Charlottesville, Va.

The winner of the contest will be decided by online voting at Individuals can vote once per day until Jan. 4. The video will be aired prior to NBC's Super Bowl coverage on Feb. 1.

The three-minute film, which can be viewed online, highlights Wright's brilliant career, which includes breaking the all-time coaching record for wins and his 49-year coaching legacy. Wright holds a 392-177 record.

His sons Kevin Wright, a state championship coach at Carmel (and previously at Warren Central), is interviewed in the video along with Kent, the head coach at Lebanon, and Travis, an assistant coach at Frankfort. Cheri, an assistant athletic director at Sheridan, also appears in the production.
