Despite a 31-point effort from Ange Gnamkey, Sheridan lost Saturday's away non-conference game against Elwood by a score of 71-61.

Gnamkey converted 14-of-23 from the field and 3-of-7 from the foul line.

The Blackhawks fell behind by 10 after the first quarter, but managed to cut the deficit in half heading into the locker room. Both teams went scoreless in the third, before Elwood outscored Sheridan 35-30 in the final quarter. Jack Waitt finished in double-figures for the Blackhawks with 10 points. Gnamkey led the team with nine rebounds.

Sheridan (6-4, 2-1) hosts Indiana Math & Science Academy West (3-10, 1-1) on Friday.
