The Sheridan Blackhawks used a dominating performance from Ange Gnamkey to pick up a home win over the Taylor Titans Friday night.

Gnamkey finished with 25 points on an efficient 12-of-15 from the field.

After a back-and-forth first quarter that ended with the score deadlocked at 12, the Blackhawks used a 17-4 spurt in the second to take a 13-point lead heading into the locker room. Sheridan kept the train rolling after the intermission, locking down Taylor on defense to increase its lead to 49-25 going to the fourth quarter. The Titans hung with the Blackhawks in the final eight minutes, only getting outscored by one, but Sheridan hung on for the easy victory.

The Blackhawks shot 28-of-54 (51 percent) from the field as a team, including going 8-of-23 from behind the 3-point line. Sheridan only attempted five free throws all game and made one of them.

Jack Waitt, Nicholas Burnell and Sean Weitzel each contributed eight point for Sheridan. Tanner Swindle chipped in with six and Caleb Duke and Drake Delph scored five points each.

Gnamkey also led the Blackhawks on the glass with eight rebounds, including three on the offensive glass. Weitzel pulled down five boards, and Jess Kolb and Burnell both grabbed four.

Sheridan (7-6, 2-1) plays at Tri-Central Saturday.
