SHERDIAN - On Tuesday evening, the Sheridan girls' basketball team defeated Frankfort by a score of 71-61.

After going up 20-8 in the first quarter, the Sheridan Blackhawks were able to maintain their lead for the remainder of the game.

They were led by a strong performance offensively from Audry Reed.

Reed was the leading scorer for her team behind 8 of 16 shooting and finished with 24 points.

She also added five rebounds and three steals to help her team win.

Also scoring in double figures was Brittany Welch with 19 points off of 8 of 17 shooting. Welch also finished with six rebounds and two steals.

The win gave Sheridan its third consecutive to finish the season. They enter the sectional with a 17-6 record.
