Lady Millers beat Western
The Lady Millers (8-12) defeated Western High School (11-10) by a score of 69-37 in their regular season finale on Saturday afternoon at Western High School.
Maddie Knight set a career-high 27 points on a career-high 10 field goals, dished out 4 assists, and picked up 4 steals to lead the Millers to victory. Emily Wood added 12 points, Sarah Etchison had 11 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists, and Mallory Johnson contributed 10 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists for the Millers.
Noblesville picked up 18 assists and 9 steals as a team and forced 21 Western turnovers, as the Millers ended the regular season winning six of their last nine games.
The Millers will play Carmel on Tuesday at Hamilton Southeastern High School in the first round of IHSAA Sectional #8. The game begins at 6 p.m. Single-session tickets will be available at the gate for $6. All-Sessions passes are available for $10.

Westfield tops Greenfield Central
The Westfield Shamrocks (9-6) bounced back in a big way, beating the Cougars from Greenfield Central (2-16) by a score of 64-48.
Zach Banks led all scorers with 24 points to go along with 4 assists. Braden smith hit four three-pointers on his way to a 19 point, 5 assist, 5 rebound effort. The Rocks are back at it when the Fishers Tigers (12-5) visit on Thursday. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m.

Carmel gets win over New Castle
The Carmel Greyhounds (14-1) took on New Castle (8-6) on Saturday night in Carmel. The Greyhounds defeated New Castle 44-36.
Carmel was led by senior John Michael Mulloy who managed 15 points, 13 rebounds and 2 blocks. Peter Suder finished the game with 9 points, 4 rebounds and a steal. Karsten Windlan added 7 points of his own. New Castle’s Luke Bumbalough led all-scorers with 25 points.
The Greyhounds will have a home game against Lawrence North (11-5) on Thursday, Jan. 31, at 7:30 p.m.

University wins big over Anderson Prep
The University High School boys basketball team (14-3) got a big team-win over Anderson Prep on Saturday. The final score: 91-33.
Eric Major had 17 points and 10 rebounds recording his first career double-double. Camden Brown added 17 points and 7 rebounds.
University will take on the International School (6-8) in their next game on Tuesday, Feb. 5, at 7:30 p.m. in Indianapolis.

Sheridan tops Elwood
The Blackhawks (8-5) took on Elwood (2-13) on Saturday night in Sheridan and came out with a 59-36 victory.
Sheridan was led by senior center Nicholas Burnell who had 19 points, 8 rebounds and shot 75 percent from the floor. Senior Jesse Kolb added 14 points, 3 assists and a steal. Senior Caleb Duke had 10 points, 3 steals and 2 assists. Senior point guard Drake Delph had a good game defensively, adding 4 steals of his own.
The Blackhawks will now prepare for their next game on Thursday night against the Rossville Hornets (14-2). Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. in Rossville.
