FRANKLIN - The Lady Royals finished HCC play with a perfect 7-0 record defeating Franklin Central 25-16, 25-13, 25-13 on Thursday night. 

The Royals were led by Abby Weber with five aces 15 digs and five kills. Delaney Garner added 12 kills and Grace Hunter had eight kills. Carly Mills led the team defensively with 17 digs and Kyla Berg added 11 digs. 

“This is an incredible accomplishment to win the HCC championship,” said Head Coach Jason Young. 

The Lady Royals finish the regular season with a 23-4 record and will face Westfield on Thursday at Noblesville


ROCKS COME AWAY WIHT SWEEP OF FISHERS


The Lady Rocks traveled to Fishers on thursday night and came away with a clean sweep of the Tigers. Scores in each set were 25-22, 25-19, and 25-18. 

The win for the Rocks concludes conference play and improves their overall record to 19-8 on the season. 

The team will head to the Lawrence North Invitational on Saturday looking to defend their tournament title. 

MILLERS FALL TO BROWNSBURG

The Lady Millers traveled to Brownsburg on Thursday night to take on HCC opponent Brownsburg. 

The Millers were able to win the first set, however Brownsburg took the next three to win in four sets. Scores for each set for the Millers were 25-18, 18-25, 19-25, and 14-25

Stats for the Millers are as follows: Lexie Almodovar had 13 assists, 11 kills, nine digs, and served two aces; Riley Branch had 13 assists, eight digs, and served two aces; Diana Cox contributed 14 digs, Ella Peter had nine kills and four blocks, Rose Crist had six kills and two blocks, Sydney Sparks had five digs, Mandy Knieper had four kills, and Olivia Gulley had four  digs.

The loss for the Millers drops their record to to 10-17 on the season. 

The Lady Millers will return to action this weekend as they travel to Carmel to compete in the Carmel Invitational.
