Lady Tigers capture first HCC title since 2008 

INDIANAPOLIS – The Fishers Lady Tigers played their final game of the regular season on Friday night as they traveled to take on Franklin Central. The Tigers defense held Franklin Central to just 34 points as the Lady Tigers picked up a 52-34 win. 

The win for the Lady Tigers secured the Hoosier Crossroads Conference championship. The conference title is the team’s first since 2008. +
Holding a 24-14 lead at halftime, the Lady Tigers saw the lead grow to 41-23 at the end of the third. 

Senior Kaitlyn Feagan led the Tigers with 15 points and fellow Senior Lydia Stullken grabbed 12 rebounds.

The win caps off what was a terrific regular season for the Lady Tigers as the end with a record of 21-1 (7-0 HCC). The team now will prepare for sectional play next week. They will play the winner of the Zionsville/Westfield game on next Friday night at 6 p.m. 

Golden Eagles fall to Central Catholic 

The Guerin Catholic Golden Eagles hosted Central Catholic on Friday night and fell by a final score of 52-41 to wrap up regular season play. 
The loss for the Golden Eagles drops their record to 8-14 and they will now compete in the Class 3A sectional 27 tournament next Thursday against Indianapolis Shortridge. 

4th quarter run seals victory for Lady Hounds

CARMEL – The Lady Greyhounds hosted Ben Davis on Friday night as the team celebrated Senior Night in their last regular season game of the season. Heading into the final quarter, the score was all tied a 32-32 between the Lady Giants and the Lady Hounds. A 25-12 final quarter by the Greyhounds allowed them to run away with a 57-44 victory. 

Sophomore Kate Clarke led the Lady Hounds with 17 points in the win. Junior Bridget Dunn added in 12. 

The win for the Lady Hounds sees their regular season record end at 15-7. Next up will be sectional play for the Lady Hounds as they travel to Westfield High School to compete in the Class 4A Sectional 8. The Hounds will have a very tough test as they will take the Lady Royals from Hamilton Southeastern on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
