Junior Whit Rapp has helped the Emory University men’s basketball team to a 14-4 overall record, with its 5-2 ledger in the University Athletic Association good for third place.

Rapp leads the league with a per-game average of 8.8 assists per game with that mark good for the No. 2 spot among all D-III players. In addition, he tops the conference with a 4.1 assist/turnover ratio.  He ranks fourth on the team in scoring (7.0 ppg) and claims four contests of double-digit point totals.

On Jan. 29, Rapp established a school record with 16 assists in helping the Eagles to a Sunday afternoon 84-75 victory over New York University.  It was the seventh time this season and 12th in his career that he doled out 10 or more assists in a game.

Rapp’s 158 assists ties for the No. 5 position on Emory’s seasonal chart while his career mark of 390 stands fourth all-time at the school.

Rapp is a 2014 graduate of Guerin Catholic High School.
