KOKOMO - The top ranked and undefeated Carmel Greyhounds took on No. 16 West Lafayette on Wednesday night as the two teams competed for the Regional title. 

At the end of the match, the Greyhounds came away with a 5-0 win as the team advances to sem-state as they look to defend their three consecutive state titles. 

Victories for the Greyhounds were as follows:

#3 Singles Eli Mercer
#1 Doubles Jones McNamar & Uday Lomada
#2 Doubles Broc Fletcher & John Zirkelbach

The win for the Greyhounds improves their record to 22-0 on the season and will play in the Culver Semi-State on Saturday. They will play the winner of LaPorte and SB St. Joseph. 

Royals fall just short against North Central 

INDIANAPOLIS – The No. 19 ranked Royals took on No. 5 North Central on Wednesday night for the Regional title. 

The two teams battled each other close for the entire match, but in the end the Royals fell by a 3-2 final as their season came to a close. 

Both wins for the Royals came virtue of the No.1 doubles team Andrew Spirrison and Daniel Verde as well as the No. 2 doubles team of Logan Hubbard and Jackson Bill. Both Spirrison and Verde will advance in the individual tournament. Hubbard and Bill ended their season with an overall record of 21-5.
